No PC-to-console crossplay is currently available. Machine Party has no announced PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch version. The current Steam release supports Windows and Linux, and Steam Deck is Verified.
01 / DEVICE CHECK
CAN YOUR DEVICE PLAY IT?
Choose a device for the shortest current answer. “Not announced” means there is no official listing or release announcement in the sources checked—it does not mean a port can never happen.
02 / CURRENT MATRIX
PLATFORM AVAILABILITY
| Windows PC | Available Official Steam version. The listed minimum operating system is Windows 11. |
|---|---|
| SteamOS / Linux | Available Native SteamOS + Linux requirements are published on Steam. |
| Steam Deck | Verified Current Steam app metadata marks the game Steam Deck Verified; peripheral behavior can still vary. |
| PlayStation 5 | Not announced No official PS5 store listing or release announcement found. |
| Xbox Series X|S | Not announced No official Xbox store listing or release announcement found. |
| Nintendo Switch | Not announced No official Nintendo Switch store listing or release announcement found. |
| macOS | Not listed Steam currently lists Windows and Linux, not a native macOS build. |
| PC ↔ console crossplay | Not available No console edition or official crossplay announcement was found. |
We use not announced instead of “never coming.” Platform plans can change, and only a developer, publisher, or verified store listing can confirm a port.
03 / AVAILABLE NOW
WINDOWS, LINUX & STEAM DECK
The Windows and Linux builds have different official minimum requirements. A device being in the supported platform family is not enough by itself: compare its processor, memory, graphics, storage, and Vulkan support with the live Steam listing.
04 / NO CONFIRMED PORT
PS5, XBOX & NINTENDO SWITCH
Machine Party does not currently have an official listing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch in the sources checked. The official Steam page and announcement feed describe the released PC version without publishing a console date.
- Do not treat retailer placeholders as announcements. A real port should be backed by the developer, publisher, or an official platform store.
- Do not assume controller support means console support. The Steam version supports controllers, but that does not create a PS5, Xbox, or Switch edition.
- Watch the official announcement feed. If a port is confirmed later, this matrix should be updated with the source and announcement date.
05 / MAC STATUS
IS THERE A MAC VERSION?
No native macOS version is listed on Steam as of the check date. The presence of a Linux build does not automatically mean the game runs on macOS, and this guide does not claim that unofficial compatibility layers will work reliably.
Use the operating-system icons and requirements on the live Steam product page. Do not buy solely because a search result or third-party page says “PC”—that label may only mean Windows.
06 / CROSS-PLATFORM STATUS
DOES MACHINE PARTY HAVE CROSSPLAY?
No PC-to-console crossplay is currently available. Machine Party has no announced PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch edition to connect with the Steam release, and the official sources checked do not announce a crossplay feature.
Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck are all listed inside the Steam release. That does not create or prove crossplay with a separate console network. If a console port is announced later, crossplay will still need its own explicit developer, publisher, or platform-store confirmation.
“Controller support,” “Remote Play Together,” and “crossplay” are different features. A controller can work on PC and Remote Play can stream a local session without creating a native PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo version.
07 / INPUT IS NOT A PORT
CONTROLLER SUPPORT
Steam metadata lists full controller support and a DualShock controller hardware note for the PC release. This can make a PC session feel console-like, but it does not mean the game is sold on PlayStation or Xbox.
For player count, online co-op, local-play status, and group setup, see the Machine Party multiplayer guide.
08 / HOW WE VERIFY
HOW TO CHECK FOR A NEW PORT
- Check the official Steam announcement feed.
It is the current first-party update channel linked to the released game. - Look for an official platform-store page.
A PlayStation, Microsoft, or Nintendo listing is stronger evidence than a retailer or repost. - Confirm the publisher or developers said it.
A dated announcement should identify the platform and release window directly. - Ignore undated snippets and placeholders.
Search previews can remain cached after information changes or can confuse another similarly named product.
